THE ENLIGHTENED THINKER
We are told that Africa is progressing.
That our universities are harmonising. That our youth will now move
freely with their recognised qualifications. Behind these polished words
lies a painful truth. Our education is being rewritten to serve systems
of kufr, not the Deen of Allah swt.
At the recent forum in Mauritius,
officials proudly discussed the African Continental Qualifications
Framework (ACQF), a European backed project designed to align African
education.
They spoke of micro credentials, credit
transfers, and skills mobility. But they did not speak of Allah swt. They
did not speak of revelation. They did not speak of the truth. They
spoke only of the market. The ACQF promises recognition, but from whom?
From Europe. It promise opportunity, but within the capitalist order. It promises
reform, but reform that detaches our youth from their civilisation and their
Deen. When education is defined by those who deny Allah swt, it becomes
a tool of submission.
It moulds minds to fit the global
economy, not to obey the Creator. This is the deception of secular
education. It turns the search for knowledge into a race for certificates.
It measures human worth by employability, not piety. It shapes students
to serve corporations, not the Ummah. Mauritius is praised for being the
first in Africa to formalise micro credentials.
But this achievement is only obedience
to colonial powers in a new language. The same forces that ruled our lands
now seek to rule our thoughts. When Europe speaks of harmonisation, it
means standardising how we think. When it speaks of recognition, it
means making our youth acceptable to its system. Islam defines education
differently.
Knowledge in Islam is a trust from Allah
swt, not a commodity. It cultivates the mind and soul upon the Islamic
Aqeedah, guiding man to live by revelation. Allah swt says: "Say,
"Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they
will remember (who are) people of understanding." ( TMQ S39 V9).
The Prophet s.a.w said: "Whoever
travels a path in search of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him a path to
Paradise." (Sahih Muslim). True knowledge connects the student to Allah
swt, not to the European Training Foundation. It builds thinkers who revive the
Ummah, not workers who serve the market.
O Ummah, your children are not projects
for Europe. They are the carriers of revelation. Let us rebuild education upon
the Qur'an and Sunnah alone. For the one who learns for Allah swt walks a path to
Jannah, while the one who learns for dunya walks a path to enslavement.
